Some EXE installers are actually just wrappers around Microsoft Installer and will sometimes return MSI error codes. If the installer is a script file it may be due to a coding issue. You want to understand why the selected package returned an unsuccessful return code.Ĭonsult the documentation for the installer in question or reach out to the vendor to determine the meaning of the error code that was returned.
